1878 Claim of Mrs. Nannie Hall of Yazoo County, Mississippi

Regular price $15.00

Mrs. Hall was the widow of Lieut. Frederick J. Dennan of the United States Army. In July 1863 after the capture of Vicksburg, Mrs. Dennan, who owned a plantation in Yazoo County, , had considerable property seized by the Union Army. The total value of the property was estimated at about $230,000.  Although the statute of limitations had expired to make this claim, the petition of Mrs. Dennan showed reasons to waive the bar prohibiting her from pursuing her claim.  One page with her petition taking both sides of the page.  Lots of information. Very Good condition.
