Frances Eliza Hodgson was born at 141 York Street, Cheetham, Manchester, England on November 24, 1849. The family moved to America in 1865 and settled near Knoxville, Tennessee where she married a medical doctor, Swan Burnett. She later lived in Paris; Washington D.C.; Kent, England and Plandome, Long Island, New York where she died in on 29, October 1924. She most famous for her novels, Little Lord Fauntleroy, A Little Princess and The Secret Garden. Typed letter signed (TLS) in Fine condition.
