Born 17, 1822 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Served as Deputy Attorney General during the Kennedy Administration and had an important role in the Civil Rights movement which was very volatile during his period of service. He was later appointed Attorney General of the United States by President Lyndon Johnson. TLS in perfect condition.
