An English actress born 15 September 1916 in Karachi, British India. She was one of Britain's most popular film stars of the 1930s and 1940s, her films included, Alfred Hitchcock's The Lady Vanishes, Night Train to Munich, The Man in Grey and The Wicked Lady.
